About this course

Advance TAFE have partnered with Deakin University to offer higher education to students in Gippsland. Deakin University's Associate Degree offers you the opportunity to learn where you live by using the state-of-the-art Deakin Learning Centre located at Advance TAFE's Bairnsdale campus.

This unique learning environment links you with students studying your course throughout Victoria, with immediate real-time feedback from your Advance TAFE lecturer and one-on-one support from a dedicated tutor.

This two-year, full-time (or part-time equivalent) program will help you develop skills in research, written communication, oral presentation, as well as the ability to critically analyse concepts. It offers a supported entry to tertiary education and a guaranteed pathway with up to 18 months credit into a range of Deakin degrees.

You will benefit from small class sizes, modern technology and practical units of study.

The program results in a dual qualification; an Associate Degree as well as one of the following Diplomas:
· Diploma of Children's Services
· Diploma of Community Services (Alcohol, other drugs and mental health)
· Diploma of Disability
· Diploma of Accounting
· Diploma of Human Resources Management (off-campus only)
· Diploma of Business
· Diploma of Graphic Design
